Wholesale, OEM and MOQ questions

MOQ, OEM and private label, sampling, certifications and reply times. We do not publish an MOQ number: tell us the quantity you are working to and we say plainly whether it is workable.

What is your MOQ?

It depends on the line. Rather than publish a number that would be wrong for most of this catalogue, we do it the other way round: tell us the quantity you are working to, and we will say plainly whether it is workable — including when it is not. A no in the first reply is cheaper for both of us than a no three emails later.

The same applies to sample lead time. It moves with the line and the season, so we quote it against your actual request instead of posting an average nobody’s order matches.

Do you do OEM and private label?

Yes, on the partner lines. Specification changes, custom colourways and own-logo packaging are workable on the lines we run in Zhejiang and Guangdong. Tooling-level changes depend on the factory and are quoted case by case — we will tell you which category your request falls into before you spend time on it.

Do you own your own factory?

No, and we do not claim to. We work with a small number of partner factories in Zhejiang on long-term terms, and on those lines we hold the quality control: we set the inspection standard rather than the machines. That distinction matters when you are deciding who to hold responsible for a defect, so we would rather state it up front than let a photograph of someone else’s factory floor imply otherwise.

Can I visit the factory?

It depends on the scale of the order. These are partner factories, not ours — arranging a visit means asking someone else for their time, and we will not do that on the strength of an enquiry. Where the order warrants it we arrange the visit and go with you. Where it does not, we would rather send photographs, the inspection record and a video walkthrough of the line, which answers most of the same questions without anyone booking a flight.

Do you charge for samples?

It depends on what the sample costs to make. On low-value lines we send it free and ask you to cover the freight. On higher-value lines we charge for the sample itself, and that charge comes off the invoice when the bulk order goes ahead. A flat sample fee across the whole catalogue would penalise the buyer testing a cheap accessory, so we do not run one.

How long is your lead time?

Like the MOQ, it moves with the line, the season, and whether you are taking stock or something made to your specification. We quote it against your actual quantity and confirm it with the factory before we put a date in writing — a date we have checked is worth more than a range copied off a catalogue. If a line is running long, you hear that while you are still deciding, not after the deposit.

What payment terms do you accept?

T/T, PayPal, Western Union, letter of credit, and Alibaba Trade Assurance. Which one makes sense depends on the order size and where you are. Trade Assurance and L/C exist to protect the buyer on the larger orders and we will not talk you out of either — tell us how you would prefer to pay and we will say whether it works for that order.

Which port do you ship from?

Ningbo, for most of what we send. If you already work with a forwarder we deliver to them and you keep your own routing — plenty of buyers hold better rates than we would be quoted. If you do not, we arrange it and show the freight as its own line rather than folding it into the unit price, so you can see which part of the number is goods and which part is shipping.

What should I put in a first message?

The product or the source family, the quantity you are working to, your destination market, and whether you need own-logo packaging. With those four things we can usually answer in one reply instead of four. If you are still comparing options, say that too — it changes what is worth quoting.

Can you send test reports and certifications?

Where they exist for a line, yes, and we will say so on the product page. Where they do not, the product page says that too rather than implying coverage we cannot evidence. Ask about the specific market you are selling into and we will tell you what is on file and what would need to be tested.

How quickly do you reply?

Messages reach Wangzian directly rather than a shared inbox. Weekdays 09:00-18:00 GMT+8 — usually within a few hours, always within one working day. We would rather commit to that and keep it than promise thirty minutes and miss it.

Which products do you supply?

Pet water, feeding, bedding and recovery products — fountains and their filters and pumps, automatic feeders, bowls, cooling mats, scratchers, litter accessories, carriers and recovery collars. The product pages carry the specifications transcribed from each supplier record, and the journal carries the testing behind them, including the results that did not favour the product.
